Closed fist, thumb tucked between two fingers: the “mano fica” is one of the Mediterranean’s oldest protective gestures. It wards off the evil eye before it even comes near.

Carved from coral, the protective hand acts as a symbolic shield against the evil eye—that envious gaze said to bring bad luck. Worn against the skin, it is said to be a discreet safeguard, watching over whoever wears it.

Mediterranean red coral is a living material, born in the rocky depths off the Corsican coast. It does not merely ward off the evil eye: it removes it from the one who wears it.

In Corsica, families have offered it for generations at the birth of a child: coral is not merely worn, it is passed down. Each branch is unique, shaped by the sea itself, like an ancestral protection rather than a simple piece of jewelry.

Our coral is fished off Bonifacio by a licensed professional coral fisherman.
